Incorporating the Evaluation and Management of Common Venous Disorders into the Primary Care Podiatry Practice
This program is meant to familiarize the attendee with the incidence, prevalence, and classification of venous disorders commonly encountered in the podiatry practice. During the seminar, there will be a review of the anatomy and physiology of common venous and lymphatic disorders including: venous stasis dermatitis, lymphedema, phlebolymphedema, chronic venous insufficiency, venous ulceration, and lower extremity edema. Additionally, there will be a review of the current status of DVT prophylaxis and surgery; including indication for and use of physical and medical therapies.
1. Familiarize the attendee with the incidence, prevalence, and classification of venous disorders commonly encountered in podiatry practice;
